Maureen Denise McCormick, the only child of Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father taught in the school system while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick began performing and singing from a young age. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was then contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to work in the business of show production. McCormick got her first big task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for the show Wind It up and It's Broken in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the eldest daughter of the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show ran for five years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in 2008. She revealed in it that McCormick was close to losing her virginity while on stage of the show during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old and the actor was 19 at the time. The woman said it might be possible, however we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
